Mojave 3- Ask Me Tomorrow. 1996

Making the terrifying jump from the former band Slowdive, to the latter band Mojave 3 took me an effort of great proportion. It was about a year and a half until I finally gave them a chance only to find that they sought out much of the same slow and pleasing feel as Slowdive. This time around the new lineup used slide guitars and ol' timey pianos in place of most of the effects pedals of Slowdive. I think the music is classified as dream pop/folk country, which listens better than it reads. The range from pleasant to somber is quite striking for their first album. This is a truly stunning bittersweet, and unbearably beautiful piece of music. Great album.

Listen!
