Alright.. we have the beach boys. This album comes in a long lost top top list of something I made for myself in early high school when I was extremely polar about pretty much everything. This is some great elder music, even if its not the satan worshiping, psychedelic head fuck contest I've been settling with lately. This is a good example of balance between the ongoing battle of the good and evil in rock. In which case, neither really have to suck. Some of the beach boys songs are so goddamn corny you can barely recuperate to get another serving, but then realizing you have no free will beyond your conscious mind you are forced to dive deep into another round of #1's. Aside from those, I think there is a purity to their albums that is rarely attained with any other group. Its hard to think that these guys really made all these songs with influences they had at the time. I guess it makes sense.Listen!
